  • 01

"FDA certified" or "FDA approved" for a registration

FDA does not issue registration certificates. Registration and listing are checked in the FDA database, not on paper.

  • 02

An ISO certificate with no accreditation mark

Accredited certificates carry the mark of an accreditation body and can be found in IAF CertSearch. Unaccredited ones usually cannot.

  • 03

A CE mark with a number that is not in NANDO

A four-digit number after the CE mark must belong to a notified body designated under the MDR.

  • 04

A register that is not on an official domain

EUDAMED and NANDO live on europa.eu, the FDA database on fda.gov, the SFDA list on sfda.gov.sa. Type the address yourself if in doubt.

  • 05

A different name, address or scope

The company, the site and the products on the certificate must match the register and the supplier you are buying from.
